X2, Two Brass and Marble Candlesticks attributed to Cornelius & Co. (1839-56), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c- 1840.
Flaring brass candie socket and elaborate pierced, carrying ten prisms, threaded into vertical support with symmetrical scrolls mounted together with a hollow-cast female figure in a Renaissance costume. Over a grass-patterned platform with pattered beveled edges, raised on a rectangular marble base.
5x6x10 inch , Approximately.
FYI , Mantel gamiture with identical figure is in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
